The mission of the Women's Drum Center is to provide opportunities for women and girls to learn, teach, and play percussion together and to energize the community at large through our performing.

Come drum with us!
The Women's Drum Center envisions a world in which women drummers- as performers, teachers, students- are a driving force for promoting joy, inclusiveness, respect and unity in community.
The Women's Drum Center offers opportunities for women to have fun with percussion while learning techniques and rhythms from a range of traditions such as African, Cuban, Brazilian, and Middle-Eastern, as well as emerging women's North American traditions inspired by women percussion composers such as Kari Kjome, Colleen Haas, and Ubaka Hill.
We offer one-on-one and group classes, and drumming ensemble experience for players and the public.
Our Center is a place where female drummers are nurtured and valued. We enjoy sharing the connecting, healing, inspiring, empowering dynamics of drumming.
